Marley P.

I am currently attending Purdue Northwest to get a BS in Forensics. I got inspired to choose this career from the tv show Bones. My love for dogs is the reason I started working here at Coyne. I love seeing them be happy, healthy, and thriving.

If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
A thresher shark because of their speed and their use of their tail. I also would also love to have a panda because of their fluff, their laziness, and the fact they’re surrounded by bamboo.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I have two dogs. Their names are Flower and Atari. Flower is my baby pit mix and loves to play or give kisses. Atari likes to relax and lay around all day.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
Getting to give them love and making them happy. It’s also nice to know they’re here to get help with any of their health concerns.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I love to ride my long board, listen to records, and drive. All of them help me clear my mind and relax.
What causes are you most passionate about?
I’m very passionate about the fight for equal human rights. People are people and should be free to love who they want and do what they want regardless of their background. I’m also passionate about climate change since there is no Planet B.
