Dr. Katherine Bialas

I attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. I am also Chicago-born and raised!
Every few years we would travel to Poland to visit our grandparents, I was always so fascinated by all the animals they had on their farm – if my parents couldn’t find me it was because I was in the barn or out in the field with the animals!

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at this point in your life?

Becoming a veterinarian sure tops the list!

If you could give one piece of advice to pet owners, what would it be?

You would be surprised how much nutrition affects an animal, a high-quality, well-balanced diet can truly give your pet a longer and healthier life.

3 things people might be surprised to know about you?

1. I spent 5 months living in Thailand where I got to work with elephants.
2. I speak fluent Polish, dziendobry!
3. I was in a folklore dance group for over 15 years, we would perform all over the world, as far as China and as close as Chicago.
