I’ve always had a big, caring heart when it comes to animals. It was always a dream of mine to work with animals when I was younger, but I could never handle the medical side of it. When I found Coyne was hiring for a grooming assistant it just happened to be a perfect fit!
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
A Sloth! I find them extremely interesting, for a slow creature they are excellent swimmers!
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I have two cats. A tabby cat named Pretty Girl and a tuxedo cat named Tubs. My favorite thing about Pretty Girl is that she knows when I’m having a bad day she comes over to me and gives me cuddles. My favorite thing about Tubs is he’s a cat who doesn’t believe he is a cat. He loves to sit on your shoulder when you’re sitting and loves to be carried like a baby.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
I never have a dull day a work, I am always smiling and laughing when the dogs come in and they are always excited and I love the kisses they give you after a nice bath.
