Kennel Attendant Shift Lead

Biography

I’ve always wanted to work with animals my entire life. They bring me so much joy and happiness. I would bring home stray dogs to my family and care for them. My career goal is to be more involved and possibly go to college to become a vet tech. Growing up around animals as a kid inspired me to pursue the career where I am now. I love working for the kennels department as the shift lead.

If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
If I could have any animal in the world I’d love to have a Wolf for a pet because wolves are very loyal and fascinating.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I currently have 2 dogs and 7 cats in my household. Chance and Amber are the two chocolate labs. Max, Cosmo, Leo, and Clover are the outgoing cats. Rose, Long One, and Shadow are more laid-back cats. I love everything about them!
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
I find it to be rewarding to work with animals because it’s very therapeutic and enjoyable.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I enjoy being outdoors when I’m not working.
