My mom is a vet and I always wanted to work with animals ever since I learned about jobs that work with them. I wanted to be a vet (probably still a possibility) and now I want to be an animal behaviorist because people misunderstand animals a lot and I want to teach people the signs to watch out for if an animal is anxious, scared, happy, sad, etc. Learning about these behaviors is essential in understanding animals and what they are feeling.
If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be, and why?
Probably an otter, they are beyond adorable, and in some places you can actually own one as a pet.
Do you currently have any pets? What are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
I have 3 dogs Mayzie, Dudley, and Kricket. They all have their own personalities.
What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
It’s a natural boost of serotonin and when I’m upset just looking at animals makes me happy.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I like to catch up on sleep and I also like cooking.
What causes are you most passionate about?
Banning trophy hunting, animal abuse, and puppy mills.
