Dr. Matthew Smith

I grew up in New York and have been around animals all my life. I shadowed a vet in high school and seeing surgeries is what made me want to become a veterinarian. I went to vet school at Ross University.

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at this point in your life?

Getting my Veterinarian degree. It was a challenging journey, but nothing felt better than having that degree in my hand.

If you could give one piece of advice to pet owners, what would it be?

If you have any questions or concerns, please consult your veterinarian. Our job is to educate our clients, so we can work as a team to come up with the best plan to take care of your animals.

3 things people might be surprised to know about you?

I played rugby for 9 years before going to vet school.
My favorite way to relax is to be in a kayak, fishing.
I built my own computer so I can play video games with my friends back home.
