Dr. Madelyn Waleski

I went to to the University of Illinois for undergrad and vet school! I-L-L!! I’ve always been so intrigued by animals since I was a little kid. Growing up, my parents (not so enthusiastically) allowed me to have many different pets from dogs to snakes to birds to ferrets. This gave me first-hand experience with the human-animal bond, which only fueled my love for animals and providing care for them. I love being able to help strengthen the human-animal bond with my patients and clients.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at this point in your life?
Surviving 8 years of college and becoming a veterinarian, of course!
If you could give one piece of advice to pet owners, what would it be?
Consult with your vet if you have any questions or concerns regarding your pet! We are here to help you.
3 things people might be surprised to know about you?
I love to scuba dive & explore underwater! Anything near, on, or under the water is my happy place.
I worked on a dairy farm, milking cows, for 7 years. One of the best jobs I’ve ever had. Dairy cows are like giant puppies!
I spent a lot of time in the Turks & Caicos Islands doing research on sharks.
